Marcia A. Simpson is the Director of Admission & Advising for Graduate Initial Programs at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, where she oversees the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), Accelerated Certification for Teaching (ACT), and MATESOL programs. With a focus on admissions, advising, and program coordination, Marcia plays a key role in supporting students pursuing teaching certification in the state of Maryland.

Before joining Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Marcia served as an Enrollment Specialist at The Community College of Baltimore County and Johns Hopkins University’s CTY Program. She has also held leadership roles in youth development and community outreach, including her position as Senior Director of Children, Pre-teen & Youth at Morning Star Baptist Church.

Marcia holds a Master’s in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts from Â鶹ÊÓƵ. As an alum, she is deeply connected to the university's mission. Additionally, Marcia is an accomplished author, known for her books Shut Your D@#! Mouth! and Faithful Flames: A Candlelight of Comfort for the Grieving Soul. Her work in ministry, education, and public speaking reflects her deep commitment to serving and uplifting diverse communities
